Quick update

Hi there,

just a quick update befor I proceed with my holy mission of dish-washing. I have my Space Wolves almost done and ready, just one rhino is left to paint. Ill field them on the Halloween tournament Warpack 2010 at Oldesloe,near Hamburg.That´s going to be a tough one, a lot of good players from around here will be there and Im really looking forward to a fun and challanging tournament. My Wolves are nothing spectacular, lots of Greyhunters, some Longfangs and some stuff.My beloved Blood Angels are completely in a repaint-phase because I found my old Marine army ! It rested deep within the basement of my Mum´s house, never meant to be seen again. As you could imagine, I was very happy and proceeded with my project of my Adeptus Mechanicus Marine chapter which I dropped several years ago. "Iron Angels" or " Knights of Mars" or something like that, I have no name for it yet, but I think it´ll be damn cool.

Battlefield Brunswick

just a quick update here. 

I went to Braunschweig last weekend with two guys of my club. I was eager to try out my new army concept, list was like that : 

Logan Grimnar

Runepriest with living lightening and jaws. 

1x Wolfguard with 3 stormshields, 1 thunderhammer and 1x meltabombs and a pod

3x Greyhunters, a 10 man squad with pod and meltas and all the good things, 1 in a rhino and 1 in a razorback

2x Landspeeder Typhoon

2x longfangs frist squad with 4 multimeltas and a missilelauncher plus pod, second with 5 missilelaunchers

1x Wolfscouts with mark, melta and meltabombs.

I put Logan into a pod together with the meltafangs,giving them relentless and delivering an awesome alphastrike but I really have to improve the list. The tournament was ok, I went 11th overall (because I didn´t send in the list by time, otherwise would´ve been 9th or so ) and 7th in General with one loss, two draws and two victories. It was the first time I played that list and for me beeing inexperienced with it, it was quite ok.Could have done better, but I just didn´t. Next time :)

Has been a long time...

since my last post, but I got a lot to do. I had to finish up my wolves for a 1850 Tournament and had to spend time in strange things like realtionship and real life :) But now Im back and got a lot to tell. I tryed out my Space wolves in a small tournament last weekend called Raumpatrouille (Psacepatrol) VIII.

It was a strange concept.Your list had to start at 750 points and built up to 1000 and then 1250 and you weren´t allowed to change what you´ve already got.
I fielded my space wolves, just had 658 or so points to be able to field my landspeeders later,just two squads of greyhunters in rhinos with a Runepriest and a group of longfangs. First game was against a IG-Chimera spamlist with a Valkyrie, 3 Objectives. He scout-moved up and I seized.From there everything just went wrong.In my whole turn I fired everything, living lightening, 5 missles, 3 melta-guns and assaulted the valkyrie with one squad and managed to break of a lascannonen.To make a big whining short, nothing worked out and I lost with 2 to 1 Objectives which was counted as a 7/4.

Next game I had against a Tau list with Shadowsun and mainly ghosts, backed up by a two broadsides and some firewarriors with pathfinders.I added two Typhoonspeeders and a squad of wolfscouts to my list.The mission was three markers and you had to collect lootpoints by beeing within 3" of a objective with a scoring unit at the end of the enemys turn. I was really surprised how much firepower wolves can lay down when I recognized that I can outshoot Tau. I almost blasted him off the table and won with a 11/0 and 10 to 1 lootcounters.

Last game I had to play Dark Eldar.Lancespam, a few Transports, 2 Talos, 3 groups of footslogging Warriors, an Archon with that pesky 2 up invul and some other stuff I don´t remember.I now had a razorback with 5 greyhunters and a bikesquad of 3 with powerfist and meltabombs added to my list.  Mission was standart mission in the rulebook 3 objectives.It was a tough game, but by turn 3 I could wipe out his whole left flank which were held by his warriors and reinforced my hidden rhino on the right. He got scared and withdraw his transports in the back of the field where I got a nice lane of fire with my longfangs and my speeders to put his HQ on foot far away from my greyhunters so I could move up to the objecitves with my troops easily. It was a good game with some glorious moments when I jawed away one Talos or killed of the Archon and his retinue with my wolfscouts.
Game ended with 3 to 0 obkjectives and a killpoint ratio of 10 to 0(I was surprised by myself^^) and I scored 11 points the second time.

Overall I additionally earned the full 4 points for having a completly painted army, so I got 30 points out 37 which made me second place. First place went to a guy from my gaming club with orcs, so it was a great day for Kiel.

Tomorrow Ill drive down to Braunschweig with two guys from my gaming-club and try out my logan-list concept.More to come
